Bora Speedhorse XT stress tested to 2160kg
Promotional video for the Bora Speedhorse XT, showcasing its load capacity by progressively stacking over two tonnes of material and equipment on a single workstation. I handled the concept development, production planning, on-camera talent, filming and full post-production.
About This Project
BORA Speedhorse XT: Load Capacity Promotional Video
BORA commissioned this promotional video to raise awareness of their Speedhorse XT and refresh their social content with authentic, high-impact footage that demonstrated the product’s true load capacity. The goal was simple: prove the numbers, build trust, and create highly shareable footage for their trade audience.
We shot the video on a private outdoor site with professional ground worker and machine operator Danny Callow as on-camera talent. I developed the testing concept, structured the content around progressive “levels,” and scripted the intro and outro while leaving the central test sequence largely unscripted — the reality of the outcome was unknown, which added genuine tension and viewer interest.
To perform the stress tests safely and accurately, we brought in a telescopic handler through A.R.G. Groundworks Ltd to lift full packs of blocks, heavy equipment, and an industrial road roller onto the workstation. Danny handled the machinery operation, while I coordinated camera direction, safety considerations, continuity, and narrative pacing.
The result was a progressive build-up from safe working loads to extreme over-capacity testing — ultimately stacking over two tonnes of material and equipment onto a single workstation without collapse. The escalating structure not only demonstrated the product’s technical capability, but also created a natural storytelling arc that translated well into both long-form and short-form cuts.
