ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The value of an event is the people in the room.
Clay shooting is the excuse; the networking is the point. So the brief was to capture the feel of the day, the conversations between stands, the concentration on the line, the prize-giving at the end, while staying out of the way and letting it happen naturally.
Alongside the people, I shoot the detail: engraved actions, spent cartridges on the gravel, kit bags, the wall of shells in the gun shop. Those frames are what stop a set from looking repetitive, and they're the ones that carry a social post or a header image when there's no obvious hero shot.
Covering more than one event means the library spans the seasons too, so CICSS have images that suit a spring shoot and an autumn one. The result is a set they can use to promote the next event, fill their channels and share with partners, reflecting both the professionalism and the relaxed nature of the day.
Running an industry event?
Let's capture it properly.
